Processing" was conducted in 2005 as a follow up.
Aim of this training was to build upon the knowledge acquired
through the first training and to explore further areas of
localization and basic language processing.
These
trainings have been instrumental to enable PAN Localization project
teams to execute their project tasks effectively.
Development through PAN Localization project has gone beyond basic
localization and the project is
now venturing into real speech, script and language
processing. This requires knowledge of a diverse set of advanced
skills. To address this, PAN Localization project is organizing
Summer School in Asian Language Processing at FAST-NU from 1st
June till 15th August, 2006. This training will be
attended by 3-5 participants each from Afghanistan,
Bangladesh, Bhutan, Cambodia, Laos, Mongolia, Nepal, Pakistan and
Sri Lanka.
