A trip to Lahore would have been incomplete for the summer school attendees without a visit to the Badshahi Mosque and Lahore Fort. The Badshahi Mosque was built in 1673 by Aurangzeb in Lahore, Pakistan. It is one of the city's best landmarks, and a common tourist attraction epitomizing the beauty and grandeur of the Mughal era. it is the second largest mosque in Pakistan, after the Faisal Mosque in Islamabad.

After visiting Badshahi Mosque the participants were taken to the Lahore Fort. The Lahore Fort, locally referred to as "Shahi Qila" is the citadel of the city of Lahore. It is located in the northwestern corner of Lahore. In 1981, the fort was added to the UNESCO World Heritage List of culturally important sites. All the participants enjoyed the trip and visited theses places with interest.
